Stan Lee captured lightning in a bottle way back in 1962 when he came up with the lamebrain idea of actually making a teenager the hero of a comic book rather than the questionable tightly spandex clad sidekick of a male adult hero. But not only that, Lee threw in the extra angle of making his young hero neurotic, put down upon, lacking in self-confidence, perpetually low on funds, and subject to the same highs and lows as the rest of us. Often imitated for the last 40 years, but certainly never duplicated (no one's come close), Peter Parker and his blue and red-garbed arachnid alter-ego are the heroes of the working class.

Status Update: March 29, 2004
I have not renewed the domain name Considering that I already pay enough money for and the accompanying website, and I didn't get the name I really wanted ages ago, which was, I've decided to drop the domain. I've even debated on dropping the MadGoblin name altogether, but I've been known by that for several years, so I'll hang onto it for now. If anyone runs into any broken links as a result of this, please let me know so I can repair them.
